Building Better Sleep Dimensions of Nectar Mattress

With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress firm that designed the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam bed.

Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned earlier it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It has a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.

Let’s dig into every aspect, shall we?

The Duvet

Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made of TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a soft feel on your body thanks to the pretty breathable and nice to the touch materials of the mattress.

Comfort Layer

Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to give you not just comfort, but also a balance that helps you distribute your weight evenly throughout the whole mattress.

The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that’s made from quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the next layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were designed this way so that when you sleep on it, it seems like its hugging your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help manage bodily aches, and can even help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.

Transitional Layer

For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches instead of the usual polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs your body without sagging too much.

Support Layer

And finally, the support core. It contains a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that’s about 5.25 inches thick. Along with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. As a result of this, you receive a balanced, medium-firm sense without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.

What’s it like?

Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes a while right out of the box. We suggest you order it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping because it will take exactly that, hours before it is going to expand and reach its entire height.

Like a fine wine, it first needs to breathe. Dimensions of Nectar Mattress

Once you lie down, give it a few seconds and before you know it, the memory foam will begin kicking into high gear and you will feel a tender embrace over your body. It’s a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will love this one.

The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too tough, not to squishy, it feels perfectly balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is quite subjective, dependent not just on your preference, but also on your physicality. If you’re a bit on the other hand, this may feel a bit more firm for you than others might.

Positioning is the Key

Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, that depends on what position you sleep in.

If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. There’s no need to worry about comfort as the mattress is designed to keep you in the perfect position Your pelvic region however may need extra support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s terrific for back sleepers.

For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a perfect option for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the harmful effects side sleeping might have.

Stomach sleepers may not want this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink into your abdomen area with this place, and you’ll have to be very careful with this because it may impact your body adversely with time. A firmer mattress may be better suited to those who like sleeping this way.

Couples will appreciate the bed a whole lot. Aside from being spacious enough to hold both of your comfortable, moving around and changing positions will not be as bothersome with your partner due to its movement isolation and edge support. Dimensions of Nectar Mattress

Some Bodies to Love

For a more comprehensive breakdown, we are going to be getting into body types and how different body types react differently to the Nectar Mattress.

The Lightweight Sleeper

As expected, a light sleeper will discover the Nectar to be firm on the body. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very deep one. The experience can be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, such sleepers require a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.

But if you are a light sleeper and you’re searching for a firm bed that still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.

The Average Sleeper

The average sleeper thought that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you are falling into the bed. There was no sagging, superior body relief and regardless of the sleeping place, it was great.

Heavyweight Sleepers

For heavy sleepers who want for something more firm, the Nectar Mattress may be the perfect fitThere will be a bit of sagging when the mattress starts to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this stability is your preference, it is a great pick.

Sleeping on the Nectar Mattress

Although we tried to get to as much as we could with our review, we know really being able to feel the mattress on your own, giving it an actual test is the best method to ascertain whether it is for you. As much as we would like to give you a hard recommendation, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.

Your right mix of what you want and want to feel each evening.

As such, there are usually 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar desired to one-up that, and offers a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. Consider it as getting to know your mattress long term before proposing, as opposed to popping the question after 3 or 4 months.

It’s a wonderful comfort to know that option is there, only in case of anything.

Final Thoughts: Where Dreams Begin Dimensions of Nectar Mattress
