Like Goldilocks taste in soup, sleep is all about figuring out which mattress is just right for you.
If you get too little of it, it is bad. You’re tired, you’re irate and it could be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you’re weirdly tired, perhaps even a bit lethargic. Lacking sleep can cause you to miss out a perfectly nice day of commitments.
Preferred sleeping settings also affect the type of sleep we get as not sleeping the ideal way can affect how restful our sleep is.
To be able to wake up completely rested, everything needs to be perfect very much like baking. In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a large role in that. It is one of the key ingredients in a fantastic night’s sleep.
And today we’re reviewing one that is out to prove itself as one of the top mattresses on the market — The Nectar Mattress. It’s a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level toughness to cover a broad selection of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can request.
Does it succeed? Is it all that? We are here to help you find out.

Building Better Sleep Does Anybody Like the Nectar Mattress
With the Nectar Mattress as their flagship product, Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding firm that is stationed in Palo Alto, California.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned before it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It consists of a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each facet, shall we?
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made of TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a wonderful feel on your body thanks to the fairly breathable and nice to the touch components of the mattress.
Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to provide you not only comfort, but also a balance that makes it possible to distribute your weight evenly throughout the entire mattress.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made of quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the next layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. Like a gentle embrace, this layer was designed so that it emulats like you are being embraced This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help manage bodily aches, and may help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam which measures about 1.75 inches instead of the usual polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs your body without it sagging too much.
And finally, the service core. Along with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you receive a balanced, medium-firm feel without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.
What’s it like?
Giving it a whirl, or more accurately, a rest, will need some prep time when you open it out of the packaging. We suggest you purchase it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping since it will take exactly that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its entire height.
Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. Does Anybody Like the Nectar Mattress
Once you lie down, give it a few seconds and before you know it, the memory foam will begin kicking into high gear and you will feel a soft embrace over your body. It’s a deep hug feeling to it that those who love sleeping “in” a bed rather than “on” it will really enjoy this one.
In terms of firmness, it is around medium firmness — balanced, in that regard. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not just on your preference, but also in your physicality. If you are a bit on the other hand, this may feel somewhat more firm to you than others might.
Positioning is the Key
So how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a nice neutral position. Your lumbar area however may need extra support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s great for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s conforms itself which allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a great option for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the adverse effects side sleeping might have.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink in your abdomen area with this place, and you’re going to have to be very careful with that since it might affect your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress might be better suited to people who enjoy sleeping this way.
Having a restless partner on the same mattress as you won’t be as cumbersome as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can move about without the other knowing. Does Anybody Like the Nectar Mattress
Body Types for Nectar
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we are going to be getting into body types and how different body types react differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
The lightweight sleeper will discover the mattress to be a little firm, which is to be expected. They experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it wasn’t a very deep one. The experience can be described as a sort of “floating” feel to it. Usually, such sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.
But if you are a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm mattress which still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Average Sleeper
The ordinary sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was just as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling to the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was great regardless of which sleeping position they went to bed in.
For heavy sleepers who desire for something more firm, the Nectar Mattress may be the perfect fitThere’ll be a bit of sagging when the mattress begins to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this stability is your preference, it is a wonderful pick.
The Sleep Test
Although we tried to cover as much as we can with our trial we know actually being able to feel the mattress on your own, giving it an actual test is the best way to ascertain whether it is for you. We can only act as a guide since, in the end of the day, it’s all about your preference.
Your right mix of what you need and want to feel every night.
As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar desired to one-up that, and provides a 365 day test period before fully committing to it. Think of it as dating your mattress long term before putting a ring on it, as opposed to popping the question after 3 or 4 months.
It’s a wonderful comfort to know that option is there, only in case of anything.
