Sleep isn’t a science, nor is it an art. It is a matter of precision, of getting it just perfect.

If you get too little of it, it’s bad. You’re tired, you’re irate and it could be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, you are weirdly tired, maybe even a little lethargic. You may have missed a few calls, or perhaps even a meet up with a buddy, along with your day’s wasted.

Then there’s your individual sleeping style and position to consider — because we all know if we do not sleep the ideal way, which is our own way, then something will go wrong.

To be able to wake up fully awake, everything needs to be perfect very much like baking. In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a large role in that. It’s one of the important ingredients in a fantastic night’s sleep.

The Nectar Mattress has proved itself to be one of the most reliable mattresses available right now in the market. It’s a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level toughness to cover a broad selection of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can request.

Building Better Sleep Memory Foam Talk Nectar Mattress

With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding company that designed the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam bed.

Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned before it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It has a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.

Let’s dig into each aspect, shall we?

The Duvet

Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a soft feel on your body thanks to the pretty breathable and nice to the touch components of the mattress.

The Layer for Comfort

Helping you distribute your weight for a more comfy sleep, Nectar Mattress has two layers that takes into account comfort and proper sleep posture.

The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that’s made from quilted memory foam using a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. Like a gentle embrace, this layer was designed so that it feels like you are being hugged This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, helps handle bodily aches, and can even help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.

Transitional Layer

For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches instead of the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs your body without it sagging too much.

Support Layer

And finally, the support core. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. As a result of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm sense without compromising the support of the mattress as a whole.

What’s it like?

Giving it a whirl, or more accurately, a rest, will need some prep time when you take it out of the packaging. We suggest you order it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping since it will take exactly that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its full height.

Like a fine wine, it first needs to breathe. Memory Foam Talk Nectar Mattress

After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, trying it out after a long day of patiently waiting, you will feel a soft embrace start to surround you. It’s a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed rather than “on” it will really enjoy this one.

The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too hard, not to soft, it feels balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not just on your taste, but also on your physicality. If you’re a bit on the other hand, this may feel a bit more firm for you than others might.

Positioning is the Key

Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, that depends on what position you sleep in.

If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a nice neutral position. Your pelvic region however may need additional support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s great for back sleepers.

For side sleepers, the memory foam’s conforms itself which allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a perfect option for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the adverse effects side sleeping might have.

Stomach sleepers may not want this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink into your abdomen area with this place, and you’ll have to be very careful with this since it might impact your body adversely with time. A firmer mattress may be better suited to those who enjoy sleeping this way.

Couples will appreciate the bed a whole lot. Aside from being spacious enough to hold both of your comfortable, moving around and changing positions won’t be as annoying with your partner thanks to its movement isolation and edge support. Memory Foam Talk Nectar Mattress

Body Types for Nectar

For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types react differently to the Nectar Mattress.

The Lightweight Sleeper

The lightweight sleeper will find the mattress quite little firm, which is to be expected. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it wasn’t a very profound one. The experience can be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.

However, if you’re a light sleeper and you’re searching for a firm bed that still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.

The Typical Sleeper

The ordinary sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was just as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you are falling into the bed. There was no sagging, good body relief and regardless of the sleeping place, it was great.

Heavyweight Sleepers

For heavy sleepers who desire for something more firm, the Nectar Mattress may be the perfect fitThere’ll be a little sagging when the mattress begins to hug and form around heavyweight sleepers, but other than that, if this firmness is your preference, it is a great pick.

The Sleep Test

Although we tried to cover as much as we could with our trial we know really being able to feel the mattress on your own, giving it a real test is the best way to determine whether it is for you. As much as we would like to give you a decision, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.

Your right mix of everything you want and want to feel every evening.

As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and offers a 365 day test period before fully committing to it. It’s like properly getting to know your mattress over a long period of time rather than of just after a few months of seeing each other.

It’s a wonderful comfort to know that option is there, only in the event of anything.
