Like Goldilocks preference in soup, sleep is all about finding out which mattress is just right for you.
If you get too little of it, it’s bad. You’re tired, you are irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, then you’re weirdly tired, perhaps even a little lethargic. You might have missed some calls, or perhaps even a commitment with a friend, and your day’s wasted.
Preferred sleeping positions also affect the type of sleep we get as not sleeping the ideal way can affect how restful our sleep is.
To be able to wake up completely awake, everything needs to be according to plan very much similar baking. In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a huge role in that. It is one of the key ingredients in a good night’s sleep.

Making Sleep Better Nectar Bed on Gasing
With the Nectar Mattress as their flagship product, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress firm that is stationed in Palo Alto, California.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned earlier it is a three-layer, all-foam bed. It has a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each aspect, shall we?
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. Since both of the components are fairly breathable and feel nice to the touch, you get a wonderful feel on your body.
The Layer for Comfort
Helping you distribute your weight for a more comfy sleep, Nectar Mattress has two layers that prioritize comfort and proper sleep posture.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made from quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the next layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. Like a gentle embrace, this layer was made so that it feels like you are being hugged This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, helps manage bodily aches, and may help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches rather than the usual polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs your body without it sagging too much.
And finally, the service core. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer base for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm feel without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.
How Does It Feel?
Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes a while right out of the box. We suggest you order it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping because it is going to take precisely that, hours before it is going to expand and reach its entire height.
Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. Nectar Bed on Gasing
After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, lying down after a long day of patiently waiting, you will feel a tender embrace start to surround you. It has a deep hug feeling to it that those who love sleeping “in” a bed rather than “on” it will really enjoy this one.
Concerning firmness, it is around medium firmness — balanced, in that regard. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not just on your preference, but also in your physicality. If you’re a bit on the other hand, this may feel a bit more firm for you than others would.
Positioning is the Key
Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, that depends on what position you sleep in.
If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. There’s no need to think about comfort as the mattress is designed to keep you in the perfect position Your lumbar area however may need additional support, in case it sinks a bit deeper but it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s conforms itself which allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress counters the negative impact this sleeping position could have on your body, so this bed is alreadylooking like a wonderful choice for this position.
Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink in your abdomen area with this place, and you’ll have to be very careful with that since it may affect your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress may be better suited to those who enjoy sleeping this way.
Having a restless partner on the same mattress as you won’t be as cumbersome as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can wiggle about without the other knowing. Nectar Bed on Gasing
Some Bodies to Love
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we are going to be getting into body types and how different body types react differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
As expected, a light sleeper will find the Nectar to be firm on the body. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it wasn’t a very profound one. The experience could be described as a sort of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they want that deep body hug.
But if you’re a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm bed that still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.
The Typical Sleeper
The average sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was just as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling into the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was superior regardless of which sleeping position they went to bed in.
Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was more for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with medium firmness. There’ll be a bit of sagging when the mattress starts to hug and form around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this firmness is your preference, it’s a wonderful pick.
The Sleep Test
Although we tried to get to as much as we can with our trial , we know really being able to feel the mattress for yourself, giving it a real test is the best method to determine whether it’s for you. We can only act as a guide since, at the end of the day, it’s all about your own preference.
Your right mix of everything you want and want to feel each evening.
As such, there are usually 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and provides a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. Consider it as getting to know your mattress long term before proposing, as opposed to popping the question after 3 or 4 months.
It’s a wonderful comfort to know that option is there, just in the event of anything.
