Building Better Sleep Nectar Mattress Smells

With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding firm that designed the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam bed.

Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned earlier it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It consists of a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.

Let’s dig into every facet, shall we?

The Cover

Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made of TENCEL lyocell and cotton. You get a soft feel on your body thanks to the pretty breathable and nice to the touch components of the mattress.

The Layer for Comfort

Two comfort layers work hand-in-hand to give you not just comfort, but also a balance that makes it possible to distribute your weight evenly throughout the entire mattress.

The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made from quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. Like a gentle embrace, this layer was designed so that it feels like you are being embraced This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, helps handle bodily aches, and can help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.

Transitional Layer

For the transitional layer, it has a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches rather than the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances how the mattress hugs against your body without sagging too much.

Support Layer

And finally, the service center. Along with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you get a balanced, medium-firm feel without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?

Giving it a whirl, or more accurately, a rest, will require some prep time when you take it out of the box. We suggest you purchase it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping since it will take exactly that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its entire height.

Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. Nectar Mattress Smells

Once you lie down, give it a few moments and before you know it, the memory foam will start kicking into high gear and you will feel a soft embrace over your body. It’s a deep hug feeling to it that those who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will love this one.

Concerning firmness, it’s around medium firmness — balanced, in that respect. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is quite subjective, dependent not just on your preference, but also on your physicality. If you are a bit on the lighter side, this may feel somewhat more firm for you than others might.

It’s about Positioning

Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, that depends on what position you sleep in.

If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a nice neutral position. Your pelvic region however may need extra support, if it sinks a bit deeper but it’s great for back sleepers.

For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress really counters the negative effect this sleeping position could have on your body, so this bed is alreadylooking like a wonderful pick for this position.

Stomach sleepers may not choose this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink in your abdomen area with this place, and you’ll have to be very careful with this since it might impact your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress may be better suited to those who like sleeping this way.

Having a restless partner on the same mattress as you won’t be as cumbersome as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can wiggle about without the other finding out. Nectar Mattress Smells

Some Bodies to Love

For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types react differently to the Nectar Mattress.

The Lightweight Sleeper

As expected, a light sleeper will discover the Nectar to be firm on the body. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it wasn’t a very deep one. The experience can be described as a sort of “floating” feel to it. Usually, such sleepers require a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.

However, if you are a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm bed that still has a bit of that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress will be great.

The Typical Sleeper

The ordinary sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — company with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you are falling into the bed. They felt that it was a good product because no sagging was felt, the body relief it provided after a long day was great regardless of which sleeping position they went to bed in.

Heavyweight Sleepers

Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with medium firmness. There’ll be a little sagging when the mattress starts to hug and shape around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this stability is your preference, it’s a wonderful pick.

The Sleep Test

Although we tried to get to as much as we could with our review, we know really being able to feel the mattress for yourself, giving it a real test is the best way to ascertain if it’s for you. As much as we would want to give you a hard recommendation, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.

Your right mix of what you want and want to feel each evening.

As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and offers a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. Consider it as dating your mattress long term before putting a ring on it, as opposed to popping the question after 3 or 4 months.

It’s a great comfort to know that that option is there, just in case of anything.

Final Thoughts: Where Dreams Begin Nectar Mattress Smells

So is this the mattress for you?

If the bed you are looking for is one that’s not too firm, as well as you aren’t a stomach sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress may as well be the perfect addition to your sleeping apparatus.

With its affordable pricing, wonderful contraction, and great quality, the Nectar Mattress is a wonderful value pick. Nectar’s managed to create a memory foam with all of the experts, and significantly fewer cons, and that in itself makes it at least worth giving serious consideration for.
