Sleep is not a science, nor is it an art. It’s a matter of precision, of getting it just perfect.
If you receive too little of it, it is bad. You’re tired, you are irate and it might be the first step to a ruined day. If you get too much of it, then you’re weirdly tired, maybe even a bit lethargic. Lacking sleep could cause you to miss out a perfectly nice day of activities.
Preferred sleeping settings also affect the type of sleep we get as not sleeping the perfect way can affect how restful our sleep is.
To be able to wake up completely awake, everything needs to be perfect very much like baking. In the grand scheme of things, mattresses play a huge part in that. It is one of the key ingredients in a fantastic night’s sleep.
The Nectar Mattress has proved itself to be one of the most reliable mattresses available right now in the market. It is a three-layer memory foam mattress with mid-level firmness to cover a broad selection of people’s sleeping preferences. High quality, smartly constructed and designed to help give you the best sleep you can ask for.

Making Sleep Better Nora Hybrid Mattress or Nectar Mattress
With the Nectar Mattress as their flagship product, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress company that is stationed in Palo Alto, California.
Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned earlier it’s a three-layer, all-foam bed. It has a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.
Let’s dig into each aspect, shall we?
Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. Since both of the components are pretty breathable and feel nice to the touch, you get a wonderful feel on your body.
Helping you distribute your weight for a more comfy sleep, Nectar Mattress has two layers that prioritize comfort and proper sleep posture.
The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that is made of quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the next layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. Like a gentle embrace, this layer was designed so that it emulats like you are being embraced This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help manage bodily aches, and may even help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.
For the transitional layer, it’s a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches rather than the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. This improvement of the foam enhances the way the mattress hugs your body without it sagging too much.
And finally, the support center. It contains a 2.2 PCF High-density polyfoam that’s about 5.25 inches thick. Along with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. Because of this, you receive a balanced, medium-firm feel without compromising the support of the mattress as a whole.
What’s it like?
Giving it a whirl, or more accurately, a rest, will need some prep time when you open it out of the packaging. We suggest you order it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping since it will take precisely that, hours before it is going to expand and reach its full height.
Like a good wine, it first needs to breathe. Nora Hybrid Mattress or Nectar Mattress
As soon as you lie down, give it a few seconds and before you know it, the memory foam will start kicking into high gear and you’ll feel a soft embrace over your body. It’s a deep embrace feeling to it that those who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will really enjoy this one.
The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too tough, not to squishy, it feels balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is quite subjective, dependent not just on your taste, but also on your physicality. If you’re a bit on the lighter side, this may feel somewhat more firm for you than others would.
It’s about Positioning
Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.
If you’re a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. There’s no need to think about comfort as the mattress is designed to keep you in the recommended position Your pelvic region however may need additional support, in case it sinks a bit deeper but otherwise, it’s terrific for back sleepers.
For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. This mattress is a great choice for side sleepers as the uniform pressure release of the bed counters the harmful effects side sleeping might have.
Stomach sleepers may not want this mattress. You’ll certainly feel a sink in your abdomen area with this position, and you’re going to need to be very careful with that because it may impact your body adversely over time. A firmer mattress may be better suited to those who enjoy sleeping this way.
Couples will enjoy the bed a whole lot. Aside from being spacious enough to hold both of your comfy, moving around and changing positions will not be as annoying with your partner thanks to its movement isolation and edge support. Nora Hybrid Mattress or Nectar Mattress
Some Bodies to Love
For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types respond differently to the Nectar Mattress.
The Lightweight Sleeper
As expected, a light sleeper will discover the Nectar to be firm on the body. They still experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it was not a very deep one. The experience can be described as a sort of “floating” feel to it. Usually, these kinds of sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.
But if you’re a light sleeper and you’re searching for a firm mattress which still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress will be great.
The Typical Sleeper
The average sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling to the bed. There was no sagging, superior body relief and no matter the sleeping position, it was good.
Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was more for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with medium firmness. There will be a little sagging when the mattress starts to hug and form around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this firmness is your preference, it is a wonderful pick.
The Sleep Test
Although we tried to get to as much as we could with our trial , we know really having the ability to feel the mattress for yourself, giving it a real test is the best method to determine whether it’s for you. As much as we would want to give you a decision, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.
Your right mix of everything you want and want to feel every night.
As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and provides a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. It’s like properly getting to know your bed over a long period of time instead of just after a few months of seeing each other.
It’s a great comfort to know that that option is there, only in case of anything.
