Making Sleep Better Price History Nectar Mattress

With their headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Nectar Sleep is a bedding and mattress company that designed the Nectar Mattress as their flagship memory foam bed.

Nectar Sleep has three mattresses with different profiles: The Nectar, which has a 12” profile; the Nectar Premier, which has a 13” profile; and the Nectar Premier Copper, which has a 14” profile. And as mentioned before it is a three-layer, all-foam bed. It consists of a quilted cover and breathable base later, with the three layers of foam between: gel-infused memory foam, support memory foam, and high-density polyfoam. Remember, the thickness isn’t everything, so it’s good to dive into the different parts of the mattress.

Let’s dig into every facet, shall we?

The Duvet

Removable and wash friendly, the cover is made from TENCEL lyocell and cotton. Since both of the materials are pretty breathable and feel nice to the touch, you get a wonderful feel on your body.

Comfort Layer

Making it possible to distribute your weight for a more comfy sleep, Nectar Mattress has two layers that prioritize comfort and proper sleep posture.

The first layer is a 1-inch top layer that’s made from quilted memory foam with a 4PCF Density, while the second layer is 3 inches and is made of 3.5PCF gel memory foam. They were created this way so that when you sleep on it, it feels like its embracing your body. This is turn helps stops pressure points from building up, can help handle bodily aches, and may even help improve spinal alignment for side sleepers.

Transitional Layer

For the transitional layer, it has a high-density memory foam that measures about 1.75 inches rather than the typical polyfoam other mattresses have. Thanks to this technology the mattress is capable of hugging your sleeping body without losing any of it’s firmness.

Support Layer

And finally, the support center. Together with the transitional layer, the polyfoam base gives the mattress a firmer foundation for the softer comfort layers. As a result of this, you receive a balanced, medium-firm sense without undermining the support of the mattress as a whole.

How Does It Feel?

Taking it out for a spin — or rather, for a sleep — takes some time right from the box. We suggest you order it in the morning and start setting up hours before sleeping because it is going to take exactly that, hours before it’ll expand and reach its full height.

Like a fine wine, it first needs to breathe. Price History Nectar Mattress

After letting it rest out of the box for a few hours, trying it out after a long day of impatiently waiting, you will feel a soft embrace start to surround you. It’s a deep embrace feeling to it that people who love sleeping “in” a bed instead of “on” it will really enjoy this one.

The mattress’ firmness can be described as medium, not too hard, not to soft, it feels balanced. A 6/10 if ever. Firmness though is very subjective, dependent not just on your taste, but also on your physicality. If you are a bit on the lighter side, this may feel somewhat more firm to you than others might.

Positioning is the Key

Just how does the Nectar mattress feel, depending on what position you sleep in.

If you are a back sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress will feel fantastic for you. It gives you the support you need while keeping your spine in a perfect neutral position. Your lumbar area however may need extra support, in case it sinks a bit deeper but it’s great for back sleepers.

For side sleepers, the memory foam’s sink allows your shoulders and hips to feel relief as you shift your weight down. The uniform pressure release of the mattress counters the negative effect this sleeping position could have on your body, so this bed is alreadylooking like a wonderful choice for this position.

Stomach sleepers may not want this mattress. You’ll definitely feel a sink into your abdomen area with this place, and you’re going to have to be very careful with that since it might affect your body adversely with time. For those who sleep on their stomachs, we would recommend that you opt for a mattress that is firmer than this one as it may lead to adverse effects.

Having a restless partner on the same mattress as you won’t be as cumbersome as with another mattress thanks to Nectar’s motion isolation and edge support features, so both you and your partner can move about without the other finding out. Price History Nectar Mattress

Some Bodies to Love

For a more comprehensive breakdown, we’ll be getting into body types and how different body types react differently to the Nectar Mattress.

The Lightweight Sleeper

The lightweight sleeper will find the mattress to be a little tough, which is to be expected. They experienced the “hugging” sensation, but it wasn’t a very deep one. The experience can be described as a kind of “floating” feel to it. Usually, such sleepers need a soft to firm bed if they need that deep body hug.

However, if you are a light sleeper and you’re looking for a firm bed that still has a little that hugging feel, then the Nectar Mattress would be great.

The Typical Sleeper

The ordinary sleeper discovered that the Nectar mattress was exactly as advertised — firm with a deep, supportive feel that lets you sink in just enough, without it feeling like you’re falling to the bed. There was no sagging, good body relief and regardless of the sleeping place, it was great.

Heavyweight Sleepers

Although still very supportive, the Nectar Mattress was more for those heavy sleepers who wanted something with medium firmness. There will be a bit of sagging when the mattress begins to hug and form around heavyweight sleepers, but besides that, if this firmness is your preference, it’s a great pick.

The Sleep Test

Although we tried to cover as much as we can with our trial we know actually being able to feel the mattress for yourself, giving it a real test is the best method to determine if it is for you. As much as we would want to give you a decision, it’s still all about your own preference and we can only act as mediators of information.

Your right mix of everything you need and want to feel every evening.

As such, there are generally 90 to 120-day sleep trials for most mattresses. Nectar wanted to one-up that, and offers a 365 day evaluation period before fully committing to it. Consider it as dating your mattress long term before putting a ring on it, as opposed to popping the question after 3 or 4 weeks.

It’s a great comfort to know that option is there, just in case of anything.

Final Thoughts: Where Dreams Begin Price History Nectar Mattress

So is this the mattress for you?

If the mattress you’re looking for is one that’s not too firm, as well as you aren’t a stomach sleeper, then the Nectar Mattress may as well be the perfect addition to your sleeping apparatus.

With its affordable pricing, wonderful contraction, and great quality, the Nectar Mattress is a wonderful value pick. Nectar’s managed to make a memory foam with all the pros, and significantly fewer drawbacks, and that in itself makes it at least worth giving serious consideration for.

Or if you trust us, dive in now, and sink into something special with the Nectar Mattress. Your stress levels depend on it!
